Armed with paste, guerrilla artist Robbie Conal has taken on everyone from George Bush to Jim and Tammy Bakker, plastering his acerbic posters on the walls of major cities. Still, Conal had reservations when an Angeleno asked him to confront Los Angeles' murderous gangs. "It was a stretch on my part," Conal says. But last month he produced We're All One Color. Stop the Killing, with its handshakes between the rival Bloods and Crips. Cropping up all over Los Angeles, it will soon be seen in other cities. Says Conal: "If one kid saw it and stopped, it would be worth it."
